Larry Snodgrass Retired

Born in High River, Larry began his funeral director and embalmer training in Calgary with Cy Foster - Gooder Funeral Service in 1963 before returning to High River in 1965 where he joined in partnership with his brother Bob in the family business. Following Bob's passing in 1987, Larry has continued operating Snodgrass Funeral Home Ltd. with the assistance of his wife Marge, son Phillip and daughter Lee Anne. He is a past president of the High River Agricultural Society, the High River Chamber of Commerce, the High River Rotary Club and the Alberta Funeral Service Association. In 2012 Larry was awarded an honorary membership in the Alberta Funeral Service Association. He has also served as a member of the Alberta Funeral Services Regulatory Board. Larry's interests beyond his community involvement have been farming, especially 30 years of raising purebred Simmental cattle, as well as fishing and hunting and training teams of horses.

Marge Snodgrass (nee Ochs) Retired

Marge was born and raised at Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She was employed with the CIBC and the Foothills School Division prior to becoming a licensed Funeral Director. Marge has worked full-time at Snodgrass Funeral Home since 1987 and finds funeral service very rewarding as it enables her to assist families through their loss. Marge enjoys reading, crafting, scrap-booking and most of all enjoys travelling. Marge has been a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, High River since 1967. She has been a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 36 years, worked with the Dealing With Grief Committee in Calgary, assisted with the High River & District Health Care Foundation Banquet Committee and served on the Convention Committee for the Alberta Funeral Service Association.

Lee Anne Snodgrass C.E.O leeanne@snodgrassfuneralhomes.com

Lee Anne was born and raised in High River. She attended her schooling in both High River and Okotoks. Lee Anne began her funeral director/embalming apprenticeship at Foster's Garden Chapel in Calgary, graduating in 1994, then moving to Okotoks. At that time, Snodgrass Funeral Home in Okotoks began construction, and in November 1994 the funeral home opened its doors, with Lee Anne managing this location. She is a past member of the Okotoks Rotary Club and sat on the High River & District Hospital Foundation Banquet Committee for many years. Lee Anne also served as President of the Alberta Funeral Service Association. Today, Lee Anne is C.E.O. of all funeral home locations.  Lee Anne feels a great commitment to her community and profession and plans to continue her family's business for many, many years to come. Lee Anne and her daughter Jorja enjoy travelling, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Phil Snodgrass

Phil began in the funeral home in 1988. In 1998, Parklawn Granite and Bronze was established at which time Phil took over this operation. Phil and his wife Karen and sons Reid and Kade enjoy camping and are often found at the hockey rink or 4H outings.

Dave Pekrul Celebrant

Dave entered into funeral service following a 32 year career in the travel industry. Dave's funeral service career began at McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home in Calgary in 2006. Not liking the commute, Dave joined Snodgrass Funeral Home in 2008. Dave and his wife Linda enjoy spending time with their granddaughters Shayla and Matthea. He enjoys writing poetry, having had some of his work published. Dave and Linda attend First Alliance Church in Calgary, Alberta.  Now, Dave serves families through his dedicated Celebrant work, creating meaningful services.

David King

David was looking for a second career after serving 46 years as a minister.  He thought that nothing would give him greater opportunity to continue in some capacity of service than being employed at a funeral home.  He worked at a Calgary funeral home & cemetery for seven years before joining the staff at Snodgrass Funeral Homes in 2012 and enjoys his work very much.  David is also delighted that his immediate family lives close by.

Cindy Mundle Controller / Accountant

Cindy was born in Calgary and has spent her life in Southern Alberta. She joined the Snodgrass family business as the Controller in 2017. She brings with her 25 years of experience garnered from both Public and Industry Accounting.  She considers herself to be a life-long learner and is enjoying this new chapter of her life working along with the rest of the Snodgrass team to support and assist the High River and area communities in a more meaningful way.  She has joked about naming her fur baby “Five Miles”, so she can say she walks Five Miles every day. She looks forward to a more balanced and Community oriented lifestyle that will allow her to enjoy golfing, travelling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.
